Guro GPS (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers, website visitors, and users of our GPS tracking hardware, mobile applications, and cloud dashboard (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, phone number, email address, billing address, and company details provided during signup or purchase.
• Location data: real-time and historical GPS location of tracked vehicles, assets, pets, or individuals via our hardware devices and mobile app.
• Device information: device IDs, SIM/connectivity status, battery levels, and tamper events reported by GPS hardware.
• Usage data: how you interact with our dashboard and mobile app, including login times and feature usage.
• Communication records: messages sent via our contact form, WhatsApp, email, or phone support.

We use collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the GPS tracking and fleet management Services;
• Send alerts and notifications you have configured (geofence, overspeed, SOS, etc.);
• Process orders, renewals, and billing;
• Respond to customer support requests;
• Improve our products, platform reliability, and user experience;
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including AIS 140 / VLTD data-sharing requirements with state transport command centres where applicable.

We do not sell your personal or location data to third parties. We may share data with: (a) service providers who help us operate our Services (e.g. SMS/notification gateways, cloud hosting providers) under confidentiality obligations; (b) government or regulatory authorities where legally required, such as AIS 140 VLTD data submission to state transport command centres; and (c) with your explicit consent, such as sharing a live tracking link with a third party.

Location and account data is transmitted over encrypted channels and stored on secure cloud infrastructure with role-based access controls. While we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Route history and location data are generally retained for up to 180 days for active accounts to support route playback features, unless a longer or shorter period is required for legal or contractual reasons. Account information is retained for as long as your account remains active plus a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at info@gurogps.in. Employee-tracking and child-tracking features are consent-based; tracked individuals or their guardians may request that tracking be paused or adjusted within the bounds of the account owner's configuration.

Our Child Tracking product is intended to be configured and managed by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a minor. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children without parental involvement and consent.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
